Making the search for LGBTQIA-friendly services as easy as it should be.
Yess is a business venture executed through a two-sided app for iPhone & Android. It was created to help people from the LGBTQIA community plan their wedding with service providers that don’t discriminate.view app
Founder Jill’s idea was simple and beautiful. It needed a name and brand to match. That’s why we:
- Named the app “yess.” Building from the recent marriage plebiscite in Australia, we formulated a name that says it all and more. “yes” is for the vote and the extra “s” is for services.
- Used the rainbow colour palette. We coloured each key feature and spread the love of the rainbow.
LGBTQIA+ friendly service providers who want to be listed on yess can download the app and register directly. To register they need to respond to a questionnaire which validates that they are yess-friendly – their responses to these questions are validated by Jill herself.
Within the app, they are able to manage their listing, monitor the status of their listing and respond directly to customers who have sent them a message.
Service providers on yess are only charged per enquiry – only once a customer has reached out to them directly via phone, message or email.
People from the LGBTQIA+ community can join yess in just a few clicks. They can search for service providers by category, view reviews left by others in the community, share listings with other users on the app and then when they’re ready, reach out via phone, email or direct message.
For couples or friends organising an event they can collate service providers within an event so that they can keep track, together, who they’ve hired for their event.
To support our marketing efforts, yess. needed a face on the web. So we built them a cute custom WordPress, that allows service providers to begin the registration process with yess.view website
